Join local biologist and wetlands expert Martha Zettel for an all-ages adventure. In addition to exploring the trail for signs of spring, Martha’s bringing interactive materials to introduce you to the wonders of life in wetlands. Please prepare for muddy conditions and dress for the weather.

Start off the year with a gentle walk along the flat, stone dust Genesee Greenway Trail. We’ll meet at Brookdale Preserve, and folks can go up to 4 miles round trip. Warm drinks and light snacks will be provided.

Watch the sunrise on the shortest day of the year as we walk through Wild Hill Farm and learn about it from farmer Erin Bullock. Genesee Land Trust protected this land so it will always grow food, not houses.
